DJ Smith, 55, of Bloomingdale, passed away on July 30, 2018. He was born in Glen Falls, New York and was a surveyor for the Local 825 Union in Springfield, New Jersey. DJ was an exempt fireman and a member of the Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department, he also helped clean up at ground zero, 911. He is survived by his beloved mother Joan Smith, the love of his life, Nancy Disbrow, his loving sisters, Karen Kaplon, Kathy Smith, Cynthia Eggleston and Constance McManus and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. DJ is also survived by his dog Reese, who was always by his side.DJ was predeceased by his dear father, John L Smith and his adored brother Harold Smith. At the familys request all services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, New Jersey.
