Elizabeth Moody

Elizabeth Moody, "Betty Jane", age 82, of Butler, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains.Mrs. Moody was born March 26, 1924 in Butler, NJ the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Catherine (Brown) De Puyt. She married William F. Moody February 28, 1943, at St. Anthony RC Church, Butler, NJ. She was a wonderful person and a great homemaker. Mrs. Moody was a member of Rosary Alter Society of St. Anthonys RC Church, and coordinator for it's CYO program for many many years, a Pink Lady Volunteer at Chilton Memorial Hospital for many years, Girl Scout Leader, and had a passion for Bowling. She was a messenger for Curtis Wright in Paterson during WWII, as well as working for Butler Hard Rubber and EI Dupont, Pompton Lakes.Devoted wife of William for over 63 years. Beloved mother of Richard and wife Susan, Beverly Shefcik and husband Ken, Brian and wife Darlene, and Lisa Roberts and husband Bill. Cherished grandmother of Lori Jeane Moody and husband Andrew Fessenden, Jennifer Porter and husband Ron, Brian Jr., and Matthew Shefcik and wife Pam. Adored great grandmother of Miles Fessenden, and Charlie and Georgie Shefcik. Loving sister of Shirley Collins and husband Donald, and brother of William De Puyt. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 2:00 -4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral will be Friday, December 8, 2006, 10:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave., Butler where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated.Burial will be in Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood on Friday at 11:30 am.
