Elmer “Al” Gall entered his heavenly home on November 24,2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Throop, PA on September 30, 1932 to Elizabeth Gall (Porcio) and Stephen Gall. His family moved to Paterson, NJ, where he graduated high school and was drafted into the U.S. Army and served stateside for two years during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he helped his parents build Gall’s Delicatessen in Lake Wallenpaupack, PA. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Sheila. They moved to Fayson Lakes - Kinnelon, NJ and raised their family there.
Al worked as a plant manager for US Steel/LaRoche Industries in the Agricultural Chemical Division, and retired after 40 years. Al loved Kinnelon, he served as a Councilman from 1972-1978 and on the PRBRSA from 1999-2021. He volunteered in many other areas in the community and his church. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman until he was unable to physically do so. He enjoyed woodworking, making custom fishing poles and could fix almost anything. His love for his family was paramount. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Al was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila, daughter, Andrea Monahan, and his parents, Elizabeth and Stephen Gall.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam Siefken (Adam) of Hinesville, GA; son, Stephen Gall of Oak Ridge, NJ; son-in-law Mark Monahan (Teresa) of Kinnelon, NJ; sister, Ethel Corrigan of Clarks Summitt, PA; grandchildren: Joseph Armeni (Jaclyn) of Bluffton, SC; Zachary Hall of Fairmont, WV; Ethan Hall of Hinesville, GA; Mikayla, Felica, Austin and Brandyn Gall of Oak Ridge, NJ; and Olivia Monahan of Kinnelon, NJ; three great-grandchildren: Stella, Wade and Margo Armeni of Bluffton, SC, many nieces and nephews and friends.

Viewing will be on Friday, December 1st, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. Funeral Mass will be on December 2nd, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Magnificat Roman Catholic Church, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will immediately follow the mass at Our Lady of the Magnificat Cemetery.
