Frances G. Sloan

Frances G. Sloan, age 92, a life long resident of Butler, NJ, passed September 14, 2011. Frances was born in Butler, NJ, the daughter of the late Charles M and Mary (Guinter) Getty. She worked at Butler Bowl and was the first women Tax Assessor for the Boro of Butler. Frances was a parishioner of St. Anthony RC Church in Butler and was a former member of its Rosary Alter Society and was an avid bowler till she was 88, bowling in the Thursday Early Bird League at the Butler Bowl. She is survived by her beloved children, James Sloan, Mary Chikosky and her husband Richard, Robert Sloan and his wife Mary, her brother Gerald Getty, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband James. Visiting hours will be Monday, September 19th, from 5:00-9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral will be Tuesday, 10:00am at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
