Gilbert 'Gib' Van Zile

Gilbert "Gib" Van Zile, age 63, of Butler, died Friday, November 13, 2015. Mr. Van Zile was born in Paterson, NJ, and was a welder by trade. Gib was a parishioner of St. Anthony's RC Church in Butler, NJ, a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid supporter of Butler High School sports and West Point Army football and was a longtime high school official refereeing soccer, wrestling, baseball and softball. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Janice (Carfagna) Van Zile, his beloved mother, Bernice (Brennan) Van Zile, his loving son, Kyle, two dear brothers, Michael Van Zile and wife Joyce and Barry Van Zile and wife Debbie and seven nieces and nephews. Gib was pre deceased by his father Gilbert. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, November 18th ,2015, from 9 to 11:30 am at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday at 12:00pm at St. Anthony's RC Church, Butler, NJ .
