Heinz G Stellmacher

November 30, 1932 November 15, 2019 Heinz G. Stellmacher, 87, of Butler, New Jersey passed away peacefully in his home with his sons by his side on Friday, November 15th, 2019. He was born in Knigsberg, Germany on November 30th, 1932 to Charlotte and Willi Stellmacher. Heinz is predeceased by his brothers Alfred and Werner and his sister Ellie. Heinz married the love of his life, Herta Stellmacher, in Germany in 1958 and both immigrated to the United States in the same year. Heinz and Herta were proud to become U.S. citizens. Heinz was predeceased by his loving wife Herta and is survived by two sons, Stephan and Ralph, his daughterinlaw Robbie and his grandchildren Collin, Izzy, Jai and Kelly. Heinz was a resident of Butler for 45 years. While modest, "his home was his castle," he would say. He loved his children, grandchildren, neighbors and made friends wherever he went. Heinz was a professional house painter, having been formally trained in an apprenticeship as a young adult. Additionally, he was a skilled craftsman in many other trades. His work helped to turn a house into a home. His customers absolutely adored Heinz and his work. Heinz loved participating in sports. He was active in swimming, bicycling and boxing as a young adult and took up skiing, soccer and tennis later. He was exceptionally passionate about skiing. He was known to sleep with his racing skis under his bed. He volunteered with the National Ski Patrol for many years and became an avid masters ski racer and was highly ranked in NASTAR and ASRA. Heinzs memorial services will be held at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM. A funeral service will be offered at 3:30pm. Heinz and Herta will be laid to rest side by side as they were in life at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
