Kevin T. Bendel Sr.

Kevin T. Bendel Sr., age 61, of Bloomingdale, NJ died on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Chilton Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was born and raised in Paterson, NJ where he started his successful construction company at the age of seventeen. Kevin was a skilled carpenter who eventually built his home in Bloomingdale, NJ where he and his childhood sweetheart Lisa raised their two children. His boundless generosity extended to his family and close neighbors. He was always willing to help in their time of need. He was an avid IndyCar Series fan, but his biggest joy was spending time with his sons and family.

His loving wife, Lisa A. Bendel, and his two devoted children; Kevin T. Bendel Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Drew J. Bendel of Bloomingdale, NJ, survive Kevin. He is also survived by his mother, Emma A. Bendel of North Cape May, NJ, his siblings, Cliff Bendel, Kenny Bendel and his wife Lee of North Cape May, NJ, Christine Marino of Totowa, NJ, Kerry Bendel and his wife Deborah of Westerlo, NY, sisters-in-law, Tammy Betts and her husband Michael of Lavallette, NJ, and Linda Fitzgerald and her husband Ricky of West Milford, NJ. Twenty-two nieces and nephews and nineteen great nieces and nephews also survive him. His father Clifford N. Bendel and nephew James Marino predeceases him.

The loss the family is feeling is immeasurable. His memory will be eternal.

Services are being held at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM followed by a blessing and tributes. A private cremation will be performed.
