Marion Nelson

Marion Nelson, 90, passed away peacefully on Sept 18, 2015 at Bristol Glen in Newton with her loving family at her side.Friends and family are invited to gather for the funeral service at Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ on Monday Sept 21 at 12:00. Marion was born in Brooklyn and later resided in Kinnelon where she and her husband raised their family. She was a special ed teacher in Kinnelon where she took great pride and joy in helping children. She later lived in Highland Lakes and Hardyston, NJ. In retirement Marion gave generously of her time volunteering for hospice as well as Habitat for Humanity. She always had a special place in her heart and home for anyone in need, from neighbors to woodland creatures and many beloved pets over the years. Marion is survived by her devoted friend and ex-husband, Art, her children Michael Nelson and wife Barbara, Ellen Nelson, Patty McGuigan and husband John, June Tarantino and husband Joe, Steven Nelson, Thomas Nelson and wife Maureen and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
