Robert George Kochka

At age 67, Robert G. Kochka, of Echo Lake, West Milford, NJ passed away on May 8, 2019. He was a shining light to everyone he knew. His love, warmth, and strength will continue to endure in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In his life, he loved family, friends, God, St. Josephs Church, heritage, the outdoors, food, farms, live music, and hard work. He was a loving father, son, uncle, brother, grandfather, and friend who dedicated himself to helping and sharing with those around him. In his career as a park maintenance foreman at Silas Condict Park, he was proud to serve his community and nature. In retirement, he was proud to dedicate his life to family, West Milford, St. Josephs Church, his service as an Eagle Scout, and numerous community endeavors. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and sons where he showed their families how to love and give unconditionally. He is survived by his mother, Mary; his sisters, Maryanne, Lois, Peggyanne, Catherine; his older son Robert and his partner Amanda, and their children, Orion, Echo, and Phoenix; his younger son Matthew, and his wife, Alexis and their son, William; his nieces and nephews Joseph,Patty, Tiffini, Mario, Jennifer, Amanda, Dimitrios, and Katerina; and numerous loved grandnieces and grandnephews. Bob was pre deceased by his beloved father, Robert J. Kochka. He and his family would be thankful to see you at his memorial services. Wake and viewing will be held at Morrison Funeral Home in Butler, May 13 at 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass and Burial will be held at St. Josephs Church in West Milford, NJ on May 14 at 11am. We will be ever grateful for his wisdom, light, and dedication.
