Roy Miller, age 90, of Kinnelon died Sunday, November 3, 2013. Mr. Miller was born in Butler, N.J., the son of the late Walter and the late Daisy (Chapman) Miller. Roy had a real passion for baseball; he was a pitcher at Butler High School, which led him to train in the minor leagues in Pennsylvania, and throughout his lifetime was known as "Mr. Baseball". He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Army. He started a CB Radio Club, and took on the challenge of learning the computer at the age of 80 and most recently became an expert on the iPad. He worked for Sam Braen Inc. in Riverdale, NJ for 29 years, and the Kinnelon Road Department as a Foreman for 11 years. After retirement, he worked for Bill Pluymer, doing surveying for the tri-boro area, and he was also a trained auto mechanic. He is survived by his beloved daughter Donna Lee Nestico and husband Tony, a sister, Hilda Destito, seven nieces and nephews, 8 grand nieces and nephews and four great-grand nieces and nephews. Roy was pre-deceased by his devoted wife, Claudine and a sister, Doris O'Donnell. Viewing hours will be Thursday, November 7th, 2013, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held Friday 11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at the Miller Cemetery, Kinnelon, NJ.
