Sebastian Giardina

Sebastian Giardina, age 74, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Paterson, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8th, 2013. Mr. Giardina was born in Solarino, Sicily. He was a Army Veteran and worked as a sheet metal fabricator for Washington Equipment in Paterson for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church in Pompton Lakes and was an avid golfer who belonged to the Passaic County Golf Club. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Catherine (nee Gault), his dear mother, Rosaria Giardina, beloved children, James of Bloomingdale, Lisa Vander Horn and husband James of Washington Twsp., NJ. His loving siblings, Joseph and wife Lenora of Wayne, NJ, Angelo and wife Valerie of Colonia, NJ and Salvatore and wife Dianne of Pompton Plains, NJ. Cherished "Poppy" to Nicole Hopkins and husband Brian, and Andrew and Kevin Vander Horn and two adored great-grandchildren, Jacob and Logan Hopkins. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and will be missed by many. Sebastian was pre deceased by his father Angelo. Viewing hours will be Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm, and 7:00 to 9:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral Mass will be held Thursday 10:00am at St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes, NJ. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Butler, NJ.
