Beatrice M. Lyons

Beatrice M. (Mazza) Lyons, age 95, of Kinnelon, NJ, died Sunday, August 18, 2019. She was the youngest of five daughters born in Pompton Lakes, to the late Frank and the Antoinette (Marino) Mazza. Bea enjoyed music, singing, traveling, and being with people. Her passion was cooking for her family and friends. She was a waitress for over 30 years working at many New Jersey restaurants. Upon retiring, she was a cashier at the A & P in Kinnelon, NJ. She will be remembered as a kind, compassionate person. Beatrice was a parishioner at St. Anthony RC Church in Butler and devoted to her faith. She is survived by her beloved children, C. Linda Tuttle, John Douglas Lyons Jr., JoAnn Smith, Gary A. Lyons and Donna M. Richard, her six grandchildren, Dawn, JoAnn, John Curtis, Zachary, Megan and Johnny and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and close family friends. Beatrice was predeceased by her sisters Adeline, Rose, Ann and Kay. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, August 20th, 2019, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, NJ. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The final disposition will be private.
