Our father was a man of extraordinary strength, determination, and heart—a man who loved his children and grandchildren beyond measure.
He lived a life that few could endure, and even fewer could rise above. He was the father of six, a husband twice over, and a man shaped by hard work and sacrifice. From the coal mines of Poland to the construction sites of the United States, he carried his dreams on his back and never set them down.
As a proud LIUNA Local 78 union member in New York City, —he built a life through honest labor, resilience, and pride in his work. No matter how heavy the labor or how steep the road, giving up was never part of who he was. America was his dream, and he achieved it through grit, courage, and relentless perseverance.
He never returned to Poland—not because he forgot his roots, but because his journey always carried him forward.
To many, he was Bodzio, Bob, or Malyna. But to us, he was Daddy. He was Dziadek. And those names held his greatest meaning.
No matter how you knew him, one thing is certain—you will never forget him. He was unforgettable. One of a kind. A strong man with a commanding presence, whose life left a lasting mark on every soul he encountered.
You leave behind six pieces of your heart here on this earth. We promise to carry your name with pride, to live with the strength you taught us, and to honor you in all that we do—just as you would want us to.
We love you.Always.
“Just Keep Going.”
