Carmen dedicated a significant part of his professional life to Dupont in Pompton Lakes and Cablevision in Oakland, NJ. His unwavering work ethic and infectious sense of humor made him a treasured colleague and friend. He will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him for his wit, kindness, and the warmth he brought to every interaction.
Family was paramount to Carmen, particularly his sons, Brian, Christopher, and Matthew Russo. He shared an unbreakable bond with his high school sweetheart and devoted wife, Dawn, with whom he spent 54 loving years. This enduring partnership was a testament to their deep love and unwavering commitment to each other. In addition to his family life, Carmen proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, reflecting his dedication to his country. His interests were varied; he was an avid reader, a champion bowler, and enjoyed the thrill of casino gambling and entertainment. His love for travel took him to Europe, Asia, and Africa, where he created unforgettable memories that he cherished deeply.
Carmen's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, especially his surviving son, Brian Russo, and his beloved wife, Dee. He joins his cherished sons, Christopher and Matthew and his brother Frank in eternal peace.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Carmen's life. Visitation will be held at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. in Butler, NJ, on December 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service commencing at 11:30 AM. Carmen will then be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Butler at 12:30 PM.
