Carmine Richard Meluso March 29th, 1927-April 18th, 2020 Obituary Carmine Richard Meluso, Age 93 of Port Orange, Florida, formally of Kinnelon, NJ died Saturday, April 18th, 2020. Mr. Meluso was born in Jersey City, NJ. The son of the late Domenico Celestino Meluso and Carmela Flora Meluso. Carmine was predeceased by his beloved wife Lillian of 68 years. Together they had 4 children, Nancy and Tom Campbell, Susan and Gary Sedlazek, Michael Meluso, and Robert Meluso. He was predeceased by his sisters Anna Kernodle, Madeline Grier, and Camille Meluso. He has a loving sister Carole Meluso and Carl Sansone. He adored his grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. Courtney Schill, Caitlyn Campbell and Travis Meador, Joseph Campbell, Taylor Sedlazek, Ashley Sedlazek, John Meluso, Nikole Meluso, and Jenna Meluso. He additionally was blessed to have two great grandchildren, Aria and Sawyer. He had many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Carmine was a WWII Veteran who served in the division Army/Airforce at 18 years old. Carmine was a technician with NCR for over 30 years. He was an avid Yankee fan and loved football. Carmine was an accomplished athlete. He was an awarded multi-marathon runner, and a triathlete and biathlete. He had a tremendous love for cycling, and competed in numerous 5ks, 10ks, and 15ks. He participated in an adult softball league well in to his late seventies with his friends in Florida, where the only criteria to be on the team was that you had to be born before 1935. Carmines passion for music was contagious, and many of his family members continued his tradition of celebrating music in the home. Carmines talents were undeniable. He was mechanically inclined. He loved woodworking, stonework, and electrical work. He loved to stay up to date with all the latest technology, miraculously navigating text messaging and sending emails from his computer. Carmine finished whatever he started to perfection. Carmine loved life. He had many friends who loved and respected him. He would love to hear everyones stories and discuss daily life. He was undeniably a force to be reckoned with. He fought and he fought hard right to the very end. He will be sorely missed by all those who loved him. Public services are being handled at a later date under the direction of Morrisons Funeral Home. Due to the inability to have a public ceremony at this time, Carmines family and friends and all who knew him are encouraged to leave a story or memory of Carmines tremendous life legacy on this page.
