Carol A. Omodeo

May 26, 1943 — June 7, 2025

Butler, NJ

Carol A. Omodeo, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 26, 1943, in the vibrant Bronx, NY, Carol danced her way through life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Carol met the love of her life in the Bronx and together they moved to NJ to create a beautiful life for their family.

Before she devoted herself to raising her family, Carol began her career, which honed her culinary skills at her mother’s Luncheonette the Cozy Cottage in the Bronx, where she perfected the art of making meatballs and gravy that would become legendary among family and friends. Her love for cooking was only eclipsed by her warmth and humor; she possessed a unique ability to brighten any room with her funny, spirited personality. Always the life of the party, she never missed an opportunity to celebrate with those she loved.

Carol's proudest accomplishments were etched in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in being the great grandmother of Payton, Angelo, and Jaxson, cherishing every moment spent with them, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her cooking and comforting presence made her a central figure in family gatherings, especially during those cherished moments with her grandchildren.

Outside her home, Carol enjoyed gambling in Atlantic City, soaking in the sights and sounds of the boardwalk, going to tricky trays with her daughter, she looked forward to Friday pizza and karaoke nights with the sallies and reveling in the companionship of her beloved dog, Snoopy. Each memory is a testament to her vibrant spirit and the love she shared generously with others. Carol will always be remembered for her strong will and unwavering determination. No matter what challenges life placed in her path, she faced each one with courage, resilience, and a quiet strength that inspired everyone around her. Carol’s strong will was not about stubbornness, but about love, loyalty, and a refusal to quit when things got hard. It’s a legacy that will continue to guide and encourage all who knew her.

As Carol embarks on her journey into eternity, she will be deeply missed by all those who spent time with her. She joins her late husband, Wallace Ernest Omodeo, with whom she shared 62 loving years—a bond that no earthly force could sever.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on June 13, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:30 PM, at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. in Butler, NJ.
