December 29, 1956 — January 24, 2026

Butler, NJ

Cheryl A. Jobes, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of those around her, passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2026. Born on December 29, 1956, in Paterson, NJ, Cheryl led a life steeped in kindness, compassion, and a love for animals, especially her cherished cats.

A proud graduate of Butler High School, Cheryl spent her professional life as a dedicated insurance representative for MIC Insurance in Kinnelon, NJ. Throughout her career, she was revered not only for her expertise but also for her warm demeanor that made her approachable and easy to talk to. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Cheryl's personality was a reflection of her gentle spirit, which attracted friends and family alike. She was a remarkable sister to Linda Fraas, welcoming her brother-in-law, Walter, into the fold with open arms. Cheryl delighted in being an aunt, taking great joy in sharing moments with her nephew, Erick, and niece, Melissa. The love shared within this family was palpable and enduring.

Sadly missed but forever remembered, Cheryl is preceded in death by her sister, Karen Jobes, and her beloved parents, Anne and Ted Jobes. Their absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who loved her, yet their memories continue to remind us of the joyous spirit Cheryl was.

In celebration of her beautiful life, family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation on January 31, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life 3:30 PM at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc., located at 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ.

Cheryl  leaves a legacy of kindness and love, reminding us all to value the relationships we hold dear. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever reside in the memories we cherish and the lives she has touched.
