Diana Brown

August 23, 1941 — May 21, 2025

of Kinnelon formerly of Woodbridge, NJ

Our beautiful Mother, Diana Lorna (Rummel) Brown went Home to our Lord and Savior on May 21, 2025. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, the memory of her generous heart, radiant spirit, and unwavering love remains deeply rooted in all who knew her.

Born on August 23, 1941 to her loving parents, Dorothy and Maxim Rummel, and adored Stepmother Lorraine.

She was raised in Woodbridge Township, where she lived most of her life.

Some of her fondest childhood memories were of adventuring with her cousin Bobby and caring for her younger twin brothers, like a second mother. Always proud of her German heritage, she spent much of her time with her adoring Oma and Opa.

She was married to a very loving and hardworking man, Oliver Brown. His eyes always lit up not only at her beauty, but also at the sight of her delicious meals.

She was the cherished mother of Linda, Alan, Susan, Lisa, Shirley (and her husband Ernie), Tracy, and Kelly (and his wife Michele); a loving grandmother to Erica, James, Melissa, Elisabella, Logan, and Christine; and an adored sister to Howard and David (and his wife Rose).

She was a very talented homemaker and taught her children by sharing her knowledge and valuable life lessons. She embraced motherhood as her most fulfilling role. She was strong, loving, and fiercely protective. She brought incredible children into the world and poured her heart into raising them.

She had many joys in life, such as music, dancing, cooking, game nights, playing cards, bingo, a day at the racetrack, crocheting, trips to Atlantic City, Family Oktoberfest, and her precious  pets. Most of all, she loved joking around and having fun with her closest friends and family.

Our Mom was the kind of person that made a lasting impression. Her infectious laugh filled the room and her magnetic energy drew people in. Her presence was powerful yet comforting, and her love for her family was the truest expression of who she was. She was there for so many throughout the years, whether she was providing a delicious meal, a place to stay, a shoulder to lean on, or an ear to listen… “Her door was always open.”

Her life was rich in the things that matter most: love, kindness, and connection. She lived fully, loved fiercely, and gave freely. Her legacy is one of generosity, humor, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Although she endured many heartbreaking losses, she remained a beacon of strength deeply rooted in her Christian faith and love of Jesus Christ. It was this spiritual foundation that gave her courage and peace throughout her life. In her final days, she found great comfort in praying with her family, hearing scripture, and being surrounded by love.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and loved always.
