With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald E Stalter Jr., affectionately known as Don, who left us on August 18, 2026, in West Milford, NJ. Born on February 22, 1963, in Pompton Plains, NJ, Don’s journey touched countless lives with warmth, laughter, and unwavering dedication.
Don was the beloved son of Stella Stalter, who survives him, and the late Donald Stalter Sr. He is also deeply mourned by his sisters, Michelle Stalter and Melissa Barnes, who cherished their shared memories and sibling bonds. Don’s path through life was shaped by love, joy, and loss, as he now joins his father and brothers, Kevin and Kurt Stalter, in eternal peace.
To those who knew Don, he was a beacon of positivity—a hard-working, happy-go-lucky soul with an infectious spirit. His devotion to family and friends was genuine and ever-present, and he exuded a light that could uplift even the darkest moments. Don’s kindness extended beyond people—he was especially fond of his brother’s dog, Philo, whose companionship brought him much happiness.
Don’s legacy resides in the memories held close by those who loved him: the steadfast reliability he offered, the laughter he inspired, and the unique warmth he brought to every gathering. His presence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will forever be a blessing and a source of comfort.
A memorial gathering to honor Don’s life will be held on August 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc., located at 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Friends and loved ones are invited to come together, share stories, and remember the joy and love Don brought into the world.
Donald E Stalter Jr.’s spirit, smile, and generous heart will remain with all who were fortunate to know him. May he rest in peace, lovingly remembered always.
