Donald Xavier Fletcher

Donald Xavier Fletcher, 81, of Butler, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long battle with respiratory related illnesses, on Monday, February 18, 2019. Don was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on April 11, 1937 to Edward and Sarah Fletcher. He married the former Carol Herkert in 1961, worked while going to school at night, graduating from Seton Hall University in 1967. Don and Carol stayed in the North Jersey area, raising their three children in Kinnelon and Butler. A career accounting manager, Don worked for companies in New York and New Jersey before retiring in 2009 from the Northern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts. Don is survived by his wife, his children: Jim (Madelyn) Fletcher of Franklin, Gail (Warren) Post of Newfoundland and Debbie Fletcher of Butler; granddaughter Alyssa Post and one brother. Don was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He was a good man who will be so dearly missed.
