Dorothy "Dot" Hazekamp

Dorothy "Dot" Hazekamp of Butler, New Jersey passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 95. Dot was born on April 20, 1928 in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, the second daughter of Charles Ellis Florance (1894-1975) and Elsie Caroline Romaine (1907-1992).

In 1947 she married the love of her life, Simon Hazekamp, Jr. (1924-2012) and together they were the beloved parents of Lynn, Glenn, Gary, and Tami. Dot devoted her life to her children, her grandchildren, her church, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents and her husband she was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Duffy, and her brothers  George and Robert Florance. She is survived by her sister Joan Gordon and her brother Joseph Florence, her children Lynn Clune, Glenn Hazekamp, Gary Hazekamp and his wife Carol, and Tami Santos and her husband James. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and their spouses: Bridgette (James), Tim (Bri), Rebecca, Lisa (Keith), and Janet (Bruce), plus 9 great-grandchildren, and many friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, 11:00am, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
