It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Erica Paige Bowen, a cherished wife, devoted friend, and compassionate soul, who left us on February 25, 2026. Born on July 7, 1985, in San Diego, California, Erica grew to be a beacon of kindness and an adventurous spirit in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Erica was the proud owner of Extra Mile Roadside Assistance in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where her strong work ethic and commitment to helping others shone through every day. As an Army Veteran who served as a Medic, she embodied service and dedication, traits that carried into all aspects of her life. Her passion for aiding others was evident not just in her professional endeavors but also in her personal interactions, where she was known for her fun-loving nature and her unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand.
A devoted wife to Christopher Bowen, their four years of marriage were filled with love and shared adventures. Erica often spoke of the joy she found in her family and the warmth of her relationships. She also treasured her role as stepmother to Erin, Isabella, and Christopher Jr.
Erica was survived her mother, Marie Broughman of Livingston, New Jersey, as well as by her in-laws Robert and Bridget Bowen, who embraced her into their family with open arms. Her loving spirit extended to her siblings: Amber Norrell, Lauren Lucas, and Jimmy Lucas, as well as her sister-in-law Ashley Bowen and her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter among her uncles, Eric Lehman and Harry Lehman of Verona, New Jersey, and her beloved grandmother, Virginia Lehman.
Beyond her family and career, Erica found joy in a multitude of hobbies and interests. She adored going to concerts, pursued her love for cosmetology, found serenity in hiking, and embraced the thrill of roller coasters. She was also a devoted gamer, often immersing herself in worlds that whisked her away on new adventures. Above all, Erica’s heart belonged to her fur babies, Piper and Luna, who provided her with companionship and joy.
Her sudden departure has left a void that will never be filled, but the memories Erica created will remain etched in the hearts of all who loved her. She brought light wherever she went, her kindness radiating like a warm embrace. Erica Paige Bowen will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.
