Everdene "Dee" R. Dunlap-Dean

Everdene “Dee” R. Dunlap-Dean, age 67, of Butler passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Mrs. Dunlap-Dean was born in Dumont, NJ, the daughter of the late William Paul and the late Everdene (Teitsma) Dunlap. Dee graduated Eastern Christian High School 1974 and soon after attended County College of Morris nursing program. After her graduation Dee became a Registered Nurse and worked for two hospitals, Chilton Memorial Hospital and Wayne General / St Joseph's Wayne Hospital, for over 20 years. Dee also worked as a nurse for the Butler Board of Education 9 plus years, Nurse for special calls at Butler Police Department and the Butler Office of Emergency Management as a Medical Annex Officer. Dee was a member Tri-Boro First Aid Squad 1977-present, a Life Member 26 years and  President from  2000-2001. She loved her annual trips to Orange Lake Resort next to Disney World and, she loved the snow men she collected. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Dean husband since 1991, her beloved children, Logan Dean, Joy Dean and husband Ian Phelps, Hope Dean, her loving siblings, James "Jim" Dunlap and his son Steve Dunlap and fiancée Taylor Holt, William "Bill" Dunlap and wife Gayle and their children, William Dunlap, Amy Dunlap Snook and Jason Snook, Robert Ridlen, Michael Dunlap and close cousin Jay Dean.

Viewing hours will be Sunday, August 6th, 2023, from 3pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral will be offered Monday at 10:00 at the Butler United Methodist Church, 5 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Burial to follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations. can be made to The Butler United Methodist Church Building Fund, 5 Bartholdi Ave. Butler, NJ 07405 in her Memory.
