George P. Struble passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026, at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, after a lifetime battle with cardiac issues. He was 83 years old. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the comforting presence of his three loving daughters.
Born on December 14, 1942, George built a life marked by devotion to family, dedication to his profession, and a warm, engaging spirit that drew people to him. He was kindhearted, generous, personable, and outgoing, and he was especially known for his love of telling stories. Those who knew him will remember not only his presence, but the ease with which he made others feel welcome.
George was a dedicated lawyer for more than 40 years, serving most recently as partner at Struble and Ragno Attorneys at Law. In addition to his private practice work, he also served for eight years as a municipal court judge in Butler, New Jersey. His professional life reflected both commitment and integrity, and he gave generously of his time and talents to the community he served.
Education was an important part of George’s journey. He graduated from Pequannock High School, went on to attend Penn State University, earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, and later received an L.L.M. from New York University Law School. His accomplishments in the classroom and in the legal profession were significant, but they were only part of the full measure of his life.
Outside of work, George found joy in life’s simple and lasting pleasures. He loved reading, skiing, golfing, and watching Yankees games. George loved spending his summers at his lakehouse in Green Pond, New Jersey. He took deep pride in his children and grandchildren, and his greatest accomplishment was the loving family he cherished and the many connections he made along the way. He also gave back through service, including as a past president of the Butler Rotary Club and as a past trustee of the Butler United Methodist Church.
George is survived by his daughters, Kira Pojedinec and her husband, Daniel, Lara DiCorpo and her husband, Peter, and Sara Feuker and her husband, Robert. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Nick, Alex, Sophie, Lauren, and Addie, who brought him great joy. Additionally, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were part of the broad circle of family and connection that meant so much to him.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Struble; his mother, Beatrice Pellington; his wife, Judith Hesse; and his sister, Virginia Buck.
George P. Struble will be remembered for his generous heart, his steady dedication, his love of family, and the stories and friendships that filled his life so fully. His memory will live on in the lives of those he loved, and in the hearts of the family he was most proud of.
