Henry Richard Mohl

May 31, 1932 — August 18, 2025

Henry Richard Mohl, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 31, 1932, in Jersey City, NJ, Henry lived a life rich in love and creativity, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.

After dedicating several years of his career to DuPont in Pompton Lakes, NJ, Henry found joy in retirement, allowing his true passion to shine through as an exceptional woodworker. His ability to craft beautiful wooden trains, cabinetry, and delightful toys, including swingsets, showcased not only his artistic talent but also his loving nature. Every piece he created was imbued with the care and attention that mirrored the affection he had for his family.

Henry’s warm-hearted personality resonated throughout his life. He was known for his loving spirit and willingness to help others, always the first to lend a hand to those in need. His greatest pride was being a devoted father to his children and balancing the joys of family life with a tireless commitment to his community. As an exempt Fireman for Keil Hook and Ladder, rising to the rank of Assistant Chief, he took immense pride in serving and protecting others. He was also a valued member of the NJ National Firemen's Association, reflecting his dedication and passion for service.

Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Anita (Voos), with whom he shared 73 loving years of marriage. His memory will live on through his son, Richard (Elizabeth), and his daughter, Regina Chambers (Michael Downing), whom he adored deeply. He found endless joy in the laughter of his grandchildren: Erica Padden (John), Michael, Patrick Chambers (Molly), Jason, Russell, Christopher, Kevin, and Kyle Chambers. His role as a grandfather filled his days with delight, and he was equally proud to be a great-grandfather to five adored great-grandchildren.

Though he faced heartache with the loss of his daughter, Anita E. Watt, and her husband, Richard, Henry held on to the cherished memories they created together, to be honored and remembered by all who loved him.
