James DeGraw, age 77, of Bloomingdale, NJ born August 17, 1948, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, with his family and friends by his side. James was born in Butler to his late parents Howard DeGraw and Ella (Meyers) DeGraw before moving to Bloomindale.
James is survived by his loving sister Karen (DeGraw) Cwalinski and her husband Edward Cwalinski Sr, his loving brother David DeGraw, loving nephew, Edward Cwalinski Jr. and loving niece, Kelly Cwalinski.
James worked for Nabisco as a sales representative and after retiring he worked at the US Securities Associates as a security guard. James’ most treasured accomplishment was volunteering for the Bloomingdale Fire Department. This was his home away from home with his 2nd family. He was an active member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department and an exempt member for over 40 years, starting his service in April 1972 and held the rank of chief from 1990 till 1992.
Visitations will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler NJ.
