James Feeney from Butler NJ, 87, passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Carol, of almost 60 years, and his five beloved children and their spouses, Jimmy and his wife Carrie, John and his wife Chris, Debbie and her husband Ed Morgan, Danny and his wife Dominique, and Kevin. He was the proud PopPop of Brian and his wife Hollie, Sean, Shane, Casey, Jennifer, Alyssa, Erika and Jaimie, and could always be found at their events. Jim was born in Laurencetown, Northern Ireland and was the youngest of six. He is survived by his sister, Rosie Burns, and is predeceased by his brothers, John Michael, Patsy, Arthur and sister Mary Larkin. He leaves behind many nephews and nieces, to include Maureen McGrath who was raised with him. In Ireland, he was a Boxer, Barber and played Gaelic before he came to the US by himself in 1956. Jim worked at Overbrook Hospital for 35 years and owned Irishs Barber Shop in Butler. Even after retiring, he continued to cut his children, grandchildren and friends hair in his barber chair in his house. In his early years, he enjoyed golfing and sports. He was a parishioner of St. Anthonys Church in Butler. He was very loved by his family, a very caring Dad and PopPop, a legend in Ireland and will always be with us. His final resting place will be in Laurencetown in his familys cemetery plot. Viewing hours will be Friday, July 2nd at Morrison Funeral Home in Butler from 4-7 pm, with a funeral service at 6:30 pm. ** In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dup15q Alliance, in honor of his granddaughter Erika.
