With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Janet E. Ryan who left this world far too soon after a courageous battle with cancer. While her time here was cut short, the love, compassion, laughter, and wisdom she shared will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

She was the devoted mother of Kelly and Danny, and the proud, adoring grandmother of Danika, Ryleigh, and Ben. Being a Grandma was one of her greatest joys. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure, delighting in spoiling them, baking them incredible cakes, cookies and brownies for every milestone, and filling their lives with love, laughter, and way too many gifts from Amazon. 

Throughout her remarkable nursing career, she dedicated her life to caring for others. As a respected Assisted Director of Nursing, she led with knowledge, strength, and compassion. She worked at Skilled Nursing Facilities for many years and In the final chapter of her career, she became a nursing instructor at Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI), where she taught in the LPN and Nurses aide programs. She inspired countless future nurses with her passion, high standards, and unwavering belief in her students. She was loved by the many students whose lives she helped shape.

Outside of her career, she poured that same love into her family. She was an incredible cook and baker whose kitchen was the heart of every holiday and family gathering. Her desserts were legendary, her cookies were everyone's favorite, and we will be forever trying to recreate her recipes. Every meal she made was filled with love, and every recipe became part of the memories she created for those around her.

She was endlessly creative and had a gift for making ordinary things beautiful. Whether she was baking, decorating, crafting, or making candles, her creativity shined through in everything she did. 

She had a larger-than-life personality. She spoke her mind without hesitation, loved fiercely, and could light up any room with her laughter and infectious spirit. She was the life of every gathering, an animal lover, and the person everyone turned to for honest advice. 

Her family and friends were the center of her world. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, resilience, laughter, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, students, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her suffering has ended and that her love remains with us always. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
