Jean E Reynolds (née Morgan) passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, in Pompton Plains, at the age of 86, surrounded by loved ones.
Jean was born on May 10, 1940, in Stockholm, New Jersey and lived in Riverdale before moving to Pompton Lakes in 1966. Throughout her life, Jean was known for her unwavering kindness, grace, and devotion to her family and friends. She built a life grounded in compassion and quiet strength, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Jean earned her LPN degree and worked at the Wanaque Convalescent Home. Her passion was flower gardening, and she earned her Master Gardener Certificate from Passaic County Rutgers Extension and enjoyed time at the Laurelwood Arboretum, Pines Lake in Wayne. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing, and quilting. She had a love for animals and supported the Wildlife Freedom Foundation which rescued orphaned animals.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Roland Reynolds, cherished children, Diana Stanley and her husband Todd, Roland H. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Chris, and Bert Reynolds. Adored grandchildren, Ashley Stanley, and Amanda Stanley Fazio and her husband John. Each relationship she nurtured was characterized by deep love and understanding, and she took immense pride in her family’s accomplishments and happiness.
She was predeceased by her brother, Calvin Morgan, whose memory she treasured dearly throughout her lifetime.
Jean’s journey was defined by meaningful connections, resilience, and a gentle spirit that brought comfort and warmth into every gathering, whether with family or friends. She will be remembered for her integrity, her generosity, and her ability to listen and support those around her.
To honor Jean’s life, a private service will be held at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, located at 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ 07405.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jean E Reynolds will carry her legacy of kindness and love in their hearts forever.
