John “Jack” T. Anderson

John “Jack” T. Anderson, age 82, of Kinnelon, NJ, passed away, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at N.J. Firemen’s Home, Boonton. Mr. Anderson was born October 14, 1940, in Paterson, NJ, the son of the late Thomas and the late Violet (Boob) Anderson. He was a Sargent for the Kinnelon Police Department, Kinnelon, NJ and a Volunteer Fireman for the Bloomingdale Fire Department for many years. John was affectionately known to his friends as “South Side Jack”. He loved to garden, check on elderly persons, hunt, and his extended family at the New Jersey Firemen’s Home.

Jack was proceeded in death by his children Loree, Mark, and Jennifer. He is survived by his devoted wife, Roberta (Dahling) Anderson for 36 loving years, his beloved children, Renee Mauro and husband Richard, Renee Nicks and husband Sean, Sean Anderson, wife Norma, and Aaron Resnick and his adored grandchildren, Danielle Boyer, Janet Decker, Stephanie McCoy, Melissa Watson and Chad, Deion, Dylan, Tyler, and Kaley.

Viewing hours will be Wednesday, August 30th, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be offered Thursday 11am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Kinnelon, NJ
