John T. Pituch, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and a cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 13, 1946, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, John led a life rich in love, dedication, and service.

As a Vietnam Veteran who served honorably in the Air Force, John exemplified the virtues of commitment and sacrifice. His calm and kind demeanor, coupled with his quiet wit, made him not only a respected figure in his professional life but also an endearing presence among family and friends. He truly had a gift for connecting with others, often sharing a lighthearted joke that left those around him smiling.

John's passion for education was evident through his remarkable 18 years of service on the Bloomingdale Board of Education. His dedication to the youth in his community extended beyond the classroom, as he significantly contributed to various Bloomingdale youth organizations. John believed in nurturing the potential of the younger generation and dedicated much of his time to ensuring they had the tools they needed to succeed.

In his leisure time, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was playing a round of golf or casting a line while fishing. He was deeply interested in politics and loved engaging in thoughtful discussions about the world around him. His hobbies were reflections of a man who appreciated both the beauty of nature and the complexities of society.

John’s family was his pride and joy. He shared 49 loving years of marriage with his devoted wife, Jo-Ann, who stood by him through all of life's moments. Together, they created a warm and loving home for their children, Jenee White (married to Jeff) and John (married to Marla), who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. John was a doting grandfather to his four grandchildren—Riley, Brayden, Bella, and Blake—who brought him endless joy and countless cherished memories.

John T. Pituch leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support for those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever remember his gentle nature and the warmth he brought into their lives.
