John Anthony Tedeschi II, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on October 10, 1970, in Paterson, NJ, John brought joy, laughter, and an unforgettable presence into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
As a proud Butler High School graduate from the class of 1989, John went on to dedicate much of his life to the craft of carpentry, retiring from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 157 in New York City. His big personality was a hallmark of his character; whether he was in the workplace or among friends, John’s infectious spirit made it clear that he had arrived. Those who knew him often described him as the "funniest wildest guy" they had ever met. He had an uncanny gift for lighting up a room, leaving everyone around him with a smile.
John was not only devoted to his career but also served honorably in the United States Marines during the Persian Gulf War, a testament to his strong sense of duty and commitment. His interests extended beyond work; he was passionate about working out and spending time outdoors, which included riding motorcycles and cherishing moments with his family and friends.
John leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold dear the memories they created together. He is survived by his children, John Anthony Tedeschi III and his partner Jenni Raiteneni, Jenna Tedeschi, Jade Tedeschi, and Bryanna Tedeschi. A proud grandfather, John is also survived by his grandson, John Anthony Tedeschi IV, whose laughter will be a constant reminder of the love he imparted. His mother, Barbara A. Tedeschi, and sister, Tina Kane, along with her husband Mark, will always cherish the vibrant spirit he was. The bond shared with his nephew, Dylan Kane, along with many cousins and friends, is a testament to the wide-reaching impact of his life.
John’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service at 7:30PM.
