Judith T. Jacovelli Joseph peacefully entered immortality on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 with her dear daughter Susan L. Joseph by her side. Born to parents Mary R. and Casimir A. Jacovelli, Judith (known as Judy by most) lived the entirety of her married life in Bloomingdale. Judith’s early career was that of bookkeeper. After her children were born, she was a dedicated homemaker. She was also an Avon Lady for over 30 years. Judy proudly served on the Bloomingdale PTA and various other organizations in the town of Bloomingdale.
Judy was married to her dedicated husband, Charles, for 65 years. Loving mother of her daughter Susan L. Joseph and grandmother to Grady J. Joseph and Taylor G. Joseph, Judy is also survived by a dear brother-in-law, John Brockhuizen, five loving nieces, 2 nephews, and numerous, cherished cousins. Predeceased by her husband Charles Joseph, son Steven Christopher Joseph, sister Marilyn Brockhuizen, sister-in-law Barbara McVeigh, and brothers-in-law, Edward McVeigh, John Joseph and Paul Violette.
Judy’s soul was gentle and beautiful. She loved art and nature and found joy in the ethereal. She loved fashion and had a fine eye for detail. Her spirit was indominable. She was selfless and giving and found great satisfaction in bringing happiness to others. Judy had a sharp wit and an intellectual capacity that made debating with her a learning experience in that she had the ability to make others see any issue from a variety of angles. Her patience was endless. She was always there to “listen.” She always made time for those who needed her, offering sage advice and caring guidance. Judy had a strong character. She fought and stood up for that which she felt to be right and just. More than anything, Judy loved her family. She was a caring and supportive wife and mother and a pillar of her family. She was laid to rest in a private ceremony.
