It is with profound sadness and gentle peace that we announce the passing of our beloved youngest sister, Lisa, who slipped the surly bonds of this life on July 2nd at the age of 62.

Lisa was a person of immense heart, defined by a generous spirit. She navigated life determined to always put the needs of others—and especially her cherished animal companions—above her own. To those who knew her, it was clear that she cared for her dogs not merely as pets, but with the profound, nurturing devotion of a parent doting on a child. In her final moments, Lisa remained true to her compassionate nature. Her last act before Jesus took her hand to lead her home was ensuring her beloved dogs were safely let out one last time. Having tended to them, she laid down on her bed, at which point the Lord tenderly took her hand to guide her to her eternal rest.

The last nine months of Lisa’s life were a beautiful testament to the peace she had long sought. It was a season marked by profound happiness and connection. We find comfort in the belief that during this time, Jesus sent His disciples—one at a time—into her life to provide warmth, companionship, and a gentle touch to her heart, preparing her for her journey home.

Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love, empathy, and devotion. While she will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched, we take solace in knowing she is now at peace.

She is survived by her loving siblings: Greg Marion (Diane), Wayne Marion (Linda), Linda Petrillo (Frank), and Phillip Marion (Olivia). Lisa’s influence continued to flourish with her 10 nieces and nephews, as well as her great nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Lisa Marion’s life will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Rockaway Valley Cemetery, located on Valley Road in Boonton, New Jersey. All who wish to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of Lisa’s remarkable life are warmly invited to attend.
