It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts we announce the death of Louis James Carlson, 37 years old of Butler, New Jersey. Louis passed away suddenly on March 17th, 2021. Louis is survived by his mother, Jeryl and stepfather, Troy Babcock Sr. of Butler, NJ; his son, Ethan; his twin brother, Frank, sister Jeryl, and brothers, Steven, Christopher and Troy Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Carlson, Sr. Louis was born on July 29th, in Pompton Plains, NJ. He attended Wallkill Valley High School and excelled in woodshop, which sparked his interest and passion for carpentry. He pursued a career in carpentry and after years of experience working in construction was inspired to open his own company. Louis had a passion for working on himself, mentally, physically and spiritually. In recent years, Louis had found salvation in Christ and became very involved in the Church. His love of God and commitment to leaving a positive impact on the people he met was undeniable. In 2019, Louis was blessed with his son, Ethan who meant the world to him. Louis was an accomplished business owner, talented carpenter and committed father, son, brother and friend. Louis was full of life and light, he had a contagious smile, a talent for storytelling and brought happiness and laughter wherever he went, he will be deeply missed. A memorial service for Louis is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. The new limit on indoor gatherings for facilities is 50% of the maximum allowable building occupancy. Morrison Funeral Home will be able to accept 50 people at a time wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Visitors will be required to use hand sanitizer. Temperatures will be taken. .
