Margaret Philomena Kerr, age 96, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022 in her home in Bloomingdale New Jersey. She was surrounded by loved ones when she left this earth. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey to Patrick and Mary McNamara, Margaret spent her youth in New Jersey and Ireland. She graduated from St Michaels High School in Union City and married James Kerr on April 28, 1951.
Besides caring for her family and many friends, Margaret was known for her love of dogs, wolves, and birds, gardening, solving puzzles and Jeopardy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning new things daily. A long time resident of both Lodi and Bloomingdale New Jersey, Margaret was deeply connected to the community and beloved by her many neighbors and friends.
With a kind word for everyone, Margaret will be remembered for her generous and loving nature. She was a courageous, independent woman with a quick mind and a wonderful sense of humor.
Margaret is survived by her children Clifford, Thomas, Donna, and Katherine, her grandchildren Stacey, Patricia, Jeremy, Joshua, and Nathan, and her great-grandchildren Sean, Evan, Aaron, David, Liana, and Brielle. She was predeceased by her husband James and sons James Jr and William.
A private memorial service for the family will be held in the near future. The family requests that donations in her memory be sent to Margarets favorite charity: St Judes Childrens Research Hospital. https: www.stjude.org
