Michele Ciccone

April 4, 1934 — January 29, 2026

Paterson, NJ

Michele "Michael" Ciccone, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully departed from this world on January 29, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on April 4, 1934, in Pacentro, Aquila, Italy, Michele embarked on a journey that would take him across the ocean to the United States in 1973, where he dedicated himself to providing for his family through his work as a production worker at Liz Clayborne in Paterson, among various other jobs throughout his life.

Michele was known for his quiet demeanor and inner contentment. Always ready to lend a hand, he made deep and lasting connections with those around him. He had a profound love for walking and enjoyed sharing drinks with family and friends, moments that brought him immense joy. His interests also included gardening alongside his beloved wife, Amalia, who stood by his side for an extraordinary 70 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured their love and created a comforting haven for their family.

He found his greatest fulfillment in being a father to his sons, Tonino (Mirna) and Salvatore (Deborah). Michele was immensely proud of his role as a grandfather to Jessica Galano (Devon), Angela Marie Lindberg (Timothy), Michael Anthony Ciccone, Anthony M. Ciccone, Amalia A. Ciccone, Salvatore Joseph Ciccone, Jr., Elyssa A. Ciccone, and Nicholas A. Ciccone. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and he reveled in his role as a great-grandfather to Lucas John Lindberg.

Michele's life was a testament to family values, commitment, and love. His proudest accomplishment was his family—the bonds he forged and the memories he created will forever be cherished. A visitation in honor of his life will take place on February 1, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. in Butler, NJ.

As we bid farewell to Michele, we remember a gentle soul whose simplicity and strength touched us all. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward the love, kindness, and wisdom he imparted during his remarkable life.
