Nicasia Block

Nicasia Block, age 86, of Butler, formerly of Toms River and Wayne, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. Mrs. Block was born December 18, 1937, in Clifton, NJ the daughter of James and Josephine (Rottola) Benanti.

She was a secretary for American Cyanamid in Wayne, NJ before her retirement. She loved to watch a good movie, spend time with her family, enjoyed a cold Old Fashion Cocktail and was affectionally called Nana by her grandchildren.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Valerie Ann Gatto and Deborah Ann Ciccone and husband Salvatore, her five cherished grandchildren, Jessica Taylor (Greg), Desiree Ann Flaherty (Brandon), Angela Lindberg (Timothy), Michael Anthony Ciccone and Salvatore Joseph Ciccone Jr. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, Nicasia was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Raymond.

Viewing hours will be Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, from 4pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J At the family request all other services will be private.
