Olga "Chickie" E. Albertson

Olga "Chickie" E. Albertson (nee: Civitello) of Kinnelon, NJ passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Olga was born March 1, 1934, in New York, NY. Olga wed Charles “Chic" Albertson, her husband of 47 years in 1955. Olga and Chic relocated to West New York, New Jersey, ultimately settling in Ringwood, New Jersey where they built a home and life for their growing family.

Olga was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who were blessed to know her. Olga will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her incredible laugh, quick wit, love for sewing and unparalleled skills in the kitchen. Olga’s hardworking spirit was known to all – she spent fifty years working for Grand Union Supermarket, Eckerd, and Rite Aid before retiring.

Olga is predeceased by her husband Charles Albertson and siblings Joseph, Sally, Frances, and Virginia. Olga is survived by her beloved children Gail Albertson, Carl (Stephanie) Albertson, and Lisa (Donald) Van Orden and beloved grandchildren Anthony Albertson, Casey (James) Carter, and Nicholas & Danielle DiPillo.

Viewing hours will be Friday, March 1, 2024, from 8:00 am-10:15 am at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral Mass will be offered Friday, 10:45am at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, also in Butler.
