Paula Belmonte-McMackin, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, passed away suddenly at her home on December 30, 2025. Born on January 10, 1957, in Rockville Centre, NY, Paula brought joy, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone she met. She is survived by her beloved husband Daniel, with whom she shared 46 beautiful years of love and partnership. Together they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and kindness.
A proud graduate of Butler High School, Paula went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Psychology and a Master’s in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Her professional journey began in Directory Assistance at NJ Bell, where her dedication and talent shone brightly. For over 30 years, Paula served as a Mid Business Project Manager, becoming an integral part of her field. A proud member of CWA Local #1045, she contributed her time as a Steward, Chief Steward, and Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning Locally Speaking Newsletter. In 2023, her desire to help others led her to join Atlantic Medical Group as a Medical Office Associate in Morristown, NJ, where she continued to make a difference in the community.
Paula was known for her generous spirit and her infectious laughter. Described as the most loving and funniest person, she would give her shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her zest for life was evident in her love for family gatherings and vacations. She cherished trips to Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, and Ocean City, NJ, where countless memories were made with loved ones.
Paula’s family was central to her life. She is survived by her adoring daughter Theresa McMackin, her sister Lynne DeLade (Jim), her brothers Scott Milden (Kathy) and Fred Milden Jr., and her cherished nephew Kevin DeLade (Gianine). She also leaves behind nieces Jillian Zimmerman (Kurt), Kelsey Milden, Karley Milden, Kira Milden, and Kailee Milden, along with five adored great nieces and nephews. Paula's bond with her beloved best friend, Diana Schmidt, was a testament to her unwavering loyalty and love. And let us not forget her dear cat Willow, who brought her comfort and joy.
Paula's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be remembered for her selflessness, her vibrant spirit, and her ability to uplift everyone around her.
Visitation will be held at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. in Butler, NJ on January 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:30 PM. As we gather to celebrate her incredible life, may we carry forward the joy and love that Paula shared with all of us. Her light may have left this world, but her spirit will shine forever in our hearts.
