Raymond T Schaeffer

Raymond T. Schaeffer, age 83, of Kinnelon, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Mr. Schaeffer was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of the late Teophil and the late Appolonia (Macig) Schaeffer. He served in the Air Force during Korean war, was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Butler, NJ, worked as a Merchant Seamen for Hess Oil Perth Amboy, NJ and also was a self employed limousine driver, which were his happiest years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 loving years, Mary Jane (Mc Keon) Schaeffer, two beloved children, Jeanne Lewit and husband Bob and Andrew Schaeffer and two cherished grandchildren. Ray was predeceased by six loving sisters.Viewing hours will be Saturday, September 5th,2015 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Our Lady Of Magnificat RC Church, 2 Miller Road, Kinnelon, NJ . A Mass will be offered on Saturday 11:30 am also at Our Lady of Magnificat RC Church, Kinnelon, NJ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, also in Kinnelon.
