With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Robert James Pruden, a loving husband, devoted father, and skilled machinist, who died peacefully at age 74. Born January 8, 1952, in Newark, New Jersey, Robert devoted his life to his family and his work, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
For many years, Robert worked as a machinist at Summit Scientific Corp. in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where he applied his skill and passion for engineering. He and his beloved wife, Bernadette Pruden, lived in Kinnelon, New Jersey, from 1978 onward and shared more than 52 cherished years together. They traveled widely, visiting islands, taking many cruises, and enjoying the New Jersey Shore. Robert loved the ocean, sailing his boat, and fishing—pursuits that brought him great joy and tranquility.
A private man, Robert found satisfaction in fixing and building things with his hands, reflecting his creativity and resilience. He took great pride in his family and treasured the simple moments he shared with Bernadette and their son, Daniel Pruden.
Robert will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his passions and his unwavering love for his family. He is survived by Bernadette and Daniel, who will carry forward his legacy of love and devotion. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
