Robin “Robbie” Prusin
Born in Chicago, Robbie moved to New Jersey as a young girl and found her happy place at the Jersey Shore, where she loved nothing more than spending the day in the sun. Later in life, she and her partner Jimmy looked forward to their yearly trips to Aruba — their little slice of paradise together.
Robbie was the most amazing mom, grandma, and mother-in-law. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Alex Strohl, and son-in-law, Adam, along with her three granddaughters — Remi, Camryn, and Stella — who were the lights of her life. Her granddaughters will forever cherish memories of her famous “cheese spaghetti,” magical sleepovers at Grandma’s house, and the treasures she found for them at garage sales — toys that meant more than anything money could buy. She is also deeply loved and remembered by her sister Challis, her first husband and lifelong friend Max, and countless friends who felt like family. Her partner of 18 years, Jimmy, who passed just seven months ago, loved her deeply and has surely been waiting to welcome her home.
Robbie was the life of every party — quick with a joke and always ready to laugh, often the loudest at her own stories. She never complained, no matter what she was facing, and was a ray of sunshine who lifted up everyone around her.
Robbie was also an animal lover through and through. She looked forward to being reunited in heaven with her beloved mother Sally, her chihuahua Goldie, and her partner Jimmy.
In her honor, donations may be made to Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter, a cause close to her heart. https://njshelter.org/donate-form-new/
Celebration of Life
Please join us as we gather to celebrate Robbie’s wonderful life. She wanted this to be a party — not a mourning — and she specifically requested that no one wear black. Instead, please wear something sparkly to honor her vibrant spirit.
