Ronald C. Furst, affectionately known as Ron, passed away suddenly at home on February 13, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on November 7, 1942, in Passaic, NJ, he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Ron dedicated over thirty years of his career to BF Goodrich in Cedar Knolls, where he was not only a diligent employee but also a beloved presence. His fun-loving and outgoing personality endeared him to many, and he had a remarkable ability to connect with people. Ron's warmth and approachability made him a friend to so many.
One of his greatest joys was spending time at the lake house, where he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the company of family. He was a proud member of the Cherry Ridge Shooting Range in Highland Lakes, NJ, where he cherished the camaraderie and shared experiences with fellow members. Ron also had a soft spot for simple pleasures and loved indulging in pizza, often insisting on taking long walks with the family dog, delighting in the fresh air and time spent outdoors.
Ron leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish the moments shared with him. His devoted wife, Rita (nee Little), by his side for 63 loving years, remains heartbroken yet grateful for the life they built together. He is remembered by his beloved children: Debra Traster (Alan), Ronald W. Furst, and Denise Fischkelta (James), as well as his treasured grandchildren Lauren and Lindsey Fischkelta. They each carry forward his spirit, remembering his laughter and the love he showered upon them.
In addition to his immediate family, Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Furst, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
