Susan B. Rush

Susan B. Rush, of Butler, New Jersey, passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born on February 15, 1936, in London, England, and lived a long life marked by devotion to family, steady work, and a warm, welcoming presence.

Susan was serious in nature, yet friendly, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She liked to keep up with current events and enjoyed reading the newspaper, taking an interest in the world around her. Those who knew her will remember a woman of quiet strength whose companionship and family-centered spirit meant so much to the people closest to her.

During her working years, Susan was employed at Anco Fine Foods in Fairfield, New Jersey, and at Jen Craft in Totowa, New Jersey before retiring. Her years of work reflected a life of commitment and perseverance.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, James Rush, and by their three daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Christine Rush and Tara Rush, and by her two grandsons. She also leaves behind two sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom carry forward the memory of her love and presence in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on October 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, New Jersey. A Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony RC Church, 65 Bartholdi Avenue, Butler, New Jersey. Burial will take place afterward at  Gate of Heaven, Hawthorne, New York.

Susan’s life was rooted in family, routine, and the simple but meaningful habits that shaped her days. She will be remembered with love and missed deeply by those who knew her.
