Thomas James Hearle, affectionately known as Tom, was born on May 24, 1943, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He gently departed this life on October 30, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Tom leaves behind precious memories and a legacy of hard work, resilience, and camaraderie.

Tom's career began with the local 825 operating engineers' union, where he dedicated years to his craft, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and teamwork. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to own a Dairy Queen franchise in Kenvil, NJ, a venture that brought joy to many in the community and marked a significant chapter in his working life.

After retiring, Tom found solace in the sunny charm of Ocala, Florida, where he rediscovered his passions. Racing dirt modified race cars reignited his love for speed and competition, while owning a horse once again connected him with the natural world he cherished. Attending rodeos with friends created lasting friendships and delightful memories that enriched his retirement years.

Beyond his pursuits, Tom was notably proud of his active involvement in the Alcoholics Anonymous community, celebrating 40 years of sobriety. His journey of recovery transformed not only his life but also enabled him to help others battling addiction, a testament to his compassionate nature and strength of character.

Tom is survived by his beloved daughter, Kaitlin Hearle, along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will remember him fondly. He was predeceased by his parents, Horace and Angenetta, and his sister, Jean Bowman.

As we remember Tom, we celebrate a life epitomized by dedication, love for family, and an unwavering spirit in the face of challenges. His absence will be felt deeply, but his influence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
